The legendary Argentine footballer Lionel Messi's career stage in MLS may take some time.

As journalist Fabrizio Romano reports, the 38-year-old forward is successfully negotiating a new contract with Inter Miami.

The player's current contract is valid until the end of this year.

Playing brilliantly, L. Messi has already secured this season's MLS Golden Boot.

Having scored 29 goals, he has become the top scorer of the regular season. The sharpshooter also has 19 assists to his name.
