Forward Lionel Messi continues to amaze MLS fans.

The Argentine scored twice and provided an assist as his Inter Miami side defeated Atlanta United 3–1 away from home to secure their third consecutive victory.

The 39-year-old forward became the first player in MLS history to record at least 15 assists in three consecutive seasons.

Messi provided the assist in the first half, setting up Germán Berterame to score in the 45th minute.

This season, Messi has already scored 25 goals and provided 15 assists in MLS.

He has 40 goal contributions in total. The Argentine is nine short of the single-season MLS record of 49 goal contributions, set by Carlos Vela in 2019.

Inter Miami still have four regular-season matches remaining.
