The young Munich "Bayern" talent Lennart Karl has been called up to the German national team.

However, the attacking midfielder's debut in the team was overshadowed by a somewhat bizarre incident.

"I was participating in a math class when I received a call from coach Julian Nagelsmann.

At first, I couldn't answer, but later I called him back and was very happy to learn about the invitation to the national team," explained the 18-year-old German.

"I try not to put extra pressure on myself and play my regular football. I hope everything goes according to plan and I manage to go to the World Cup."
