On Thursday evening, the "Kaunas Žalgiris" team started their appearance in the UEFA Futsal Champions League. In the first match against the Spanish champions "Cartagena," the Žalgiris team suffered a defeat with a score of 0:5 (0:3).

The match in Poland began with a quick goal from the opponents - the Spanish team's player Waltinho sent the ball into the "Kaunas Žalgiris" net in the early minutes. Soon after, another goal was scored by Tomazas Braga.

After conceding goals, the Žalgiris team tried to look for opportunities to respond with their attacks, but they failed to convert the chances they created. At the end of the first half, Cicero Abreau scored another accurate shot, increasing "Cartagena's" lead to three goals.

At the start of the second half, the Spanish club continued to increase their advantage - their lead grew to 5 goals. In the remaining part of the match, neither team managed to score again, and the final whistle of the referee confirmed the Spanish victory.
