"Kaunas Žalgiris" – in the third round of the Conference League. In the return match in Iceland, the A league leaders won 2:1 and overcame the "Valur" team with an aggregate score of 3:2.

The Kaunas team started the match with great energy. However, for some time, they were unable to convert their chances.

In the 38th minute, "Kaunas Žalgiris" finally scored. Temuras Chogadze sent a beautiful shot into the corner of the net.

At the end of the first half, the guests faced a familiar scenario. Better play in the first half did not yield results, as in the fourth minute of stoppage time, Orri Sigurouras Omarsson equalized with a header. Goalkeeper Tomas Švedkauskas played uncertainly in the penalty area.

"Žalgiris" did not give up in the second half. In the 51st minute, Amine Benchaiba led his team forward.
