Kaunas Žalgiris suffered their second defeat in the UEFA Futsal Champions League.

On Friday evening, "Kauno Žalgiris" played their second UEFA Futsal Champions League match against the Polish team "Piast". At the end of the match, the Žalgiris team had to concede to the hosts with a score of 1:3.

The first half of the match was evenly matched – both "Kauno Žalgiris" and "Piast" created dangerous chances, but neither team managed to convert them. After the first 20 minutes, the scoreboard showed an equal score of 0:0.

The second half also began with active play from both teams. In the middle of the half, the Žalgiris team was taken forward by their foreign player Pedrinho, but just a few minutes later, the Poles responded with two quick goals, swinging the score in their favor.

At the end of the match, while the Kaunas team was trying to equalize the score, Breno Bertoline scored the third goal for the "Piast" team, thus securing the victory for the Polish team.

The third and decisive Champions League clash for "Kauno Žalgiris" awaits on November 2 against the Belgian team "Sporting Anderlecht" – the winner of the match will advance to the Elite stage.
