"Kauno Žalgiris" team has surpassed the first barrier of the Conference League qualification stage.

The A league leaders drew 1:1 away against Cardiff's "Penybont" club.

The Kaunas team scored the first goal when A. Hernandez netted from a corner in the 13th minute.

However, the home team managed to equalize in the first half (17', N. Wood).

In the next qualifying round, "Kauno Žalgiris" will face Reykjavik's "Valur" team, which defeated Tallinn's "Flora" with an aggregate score of 5:1.

The first match on July 24 will be played in Lithuania, with the return match a week later in Iceland.
