Continuing to build the roster for the upcoming season, the "Kaunas Žalgiris" futsal club has extended contracts with all the goalkeepers from last season. The goalposts for Žalgiris will still be defended by Ernestas Macenis, Jordanas Lucca, and Ernestas Lukaševičius, who joined the team last year.

Jordanas Lucca, who will guard the team’s goal for the third season, shared that the goalkeeper lineup became even stronger last season, and he hopes to help the team achieve better results in the upcoming season.

"Last season was great for us; we had sweet victories and painful defeats, but every match pushed the team forward. I hope for another successful season with the 'Kaunas Žalgiris' squad. We are a strong team, and we aim to remain so this year," Jordanas shared his thoughts.

Long-time team goalkeeper Ernestas Macenis also expressed his joy at the opportunity to continue his career at the club where he grew as a player and feels trust every season.

"I’m happy to stay for another season with a team where I feel the trust of both the coaches and my teammates. Jordanas and I have played well together in recent seasons; we complement each other. Ernestas gradually integrated into the team last year, and I believe his progress will be even more pronounced this year. All three of us are not only competitors but also a strong group of goalkeepers who motivate each other," said E. Macenis.

The trio of goalkeepers, along with the entire team, will strive to defend the title of Lithuanian champions in the upcoming season and will compete for a spot in the UEFA Futsal Champions League Elite Round in October.
