The 13th round of the "TOPsport A League" took place at Darius and Girėnas Stadium, featuring a match between "Kauno Žalgiris" and FA "Šiauliai" teams. The hosts, who played actively in the attack, managed to secure another 3 points and triumphed with a score of 3:0 (1:0).

After making several adjustments to the lineup, Eivinas Černiauskas' players earned a penalty kick in the 5th minute. Dejan Georgijević, who had showcased excellent performance in the FPRO LFF Cup match earlier in the week, failed to outsmart Gusto Baliutavičius, and the score remained unchanged.

In the 17th minute, Ernestas Burdzilauskas found himself at the forefront of the attack – G. Baliutavičius, who left the goal just in time, managed to deflect the ball struck by the young midfielder. Later, E. Burdzilauskas, receiving the ball directly in front of the goal, misfired and did not pose serious problems for the goalkeeper.

The 37th minute was marked by the first goal of this match – D. Čogadze delivered a sharp pass into the penalty area, which was responded to by D. Georgijevičius, who failed to convert the penalty. However, this time the Serbian, albeit on his second attempt, sent the ball into the net defended by G. Baliutavičius.

Once again after the break, D. Georgijevičius found the net – the visitors’ goalkeeper deflected the ball right to him, and the experienced player added another accurate shot.

After a poor start to the half, the Šiauliai team began to stir. Gabrielius Micevičius, receiving the ball in the penalty area, missed the target.

In the 58th minute, Nosa Edokpoloras left no chances for the Šiauliai goalkeeper. The Žalgiris defender struck precisely and increased the team’s lead to 3 goals.

As the match approached its end, Nidas Vosylius received his second yellow card and left his team in a disadvantage after coming on as a substitute.

The defeated Šiauliai team now has 21 points and sits in 4th place, while the "Kauno Žalgiris" players, having added another 3 points to their tally, are now the leaders of the championship.
