Kaunas residents showed no mercy to the 'Riders' team.

The leader of the "TOPsport A lyga", "Kauno Žalgiris", started the third round of the championship with a very convincing victory. In the 19th round, the Kaunas team defeated the "Riteriai" from Vilnius 5:1 on the road.

The Vilnius team played fairly disciplined in the first half; however, as it progressed, Nojus Stankevičius suffered an injury after a collision with Dejan Kerkez. After the central defender was replaced, goals began to flow.

In the 22nd minute, Temuras Čogadzė scored the first goal after a good pass, and 7 minutes later, Amine‘as Benchaibas found the net in a similar situation. "Riteriai's" forward Jonas Usavičius shot on goal but failed to score, while on the other side of the field, Fabienas Ourega celebrated a goal during added time.

After the break, the Kaunas team had a weaker spell, and the hosts took advantage of it. In the 59th minute, the ball kindly rebounded to Meinardas Mikulėnas, who scored his 7th goal of the season.

Nevertheless, the intrigue was ended by two goals scored by Ernesto Burdzilauskas, who appeared on the field after a substitution.
