Yesterday, the elections for the president of the Barcelona club took place.

Joan Laporta was reelected, defeating Víctor Font.

After counting the votes, it was revealed that J. Laporta received as much as 68.47 percent, while V. Font garnered nearly 30 percent.

After the election, Víctor Font congratulated the newly elected president and did not hide his disappointment about the outcome of the voting.

Joan Laporta will lead the Barcelona team until 2031.

The Barcelona club is in first place in the Spanish championship with 70 points.

They will also play on Wednesday in the Champions League return match against Newcastle United.
