From now on, fans of the Madrid "Real" team will have to get used to the updated name of their home stadium.
It has been officially announced that the arena previously known as "Estadio de Santiago Bernabeu" will now simply be called "Bernabeu Stadium."
Spanish media reports that this decision was made for financial reasons.
The club believes that a shorter stadium name will be easier to remember worldwide, which is particularly important ahead of the upcoming NFL game between the "Washington Commanders" and "Miami Dolphins" clubs.
Considering commercial and marketing reasons, it is believed that it will now be easier to find more sponsors and achieve better financial results.
🚨 𝗡𝗘𝗪: Real Madrid have renamed their stadium from the 'Santiago Bernabeu' to just the 'Bernabeu,' with this new logo.
