“TOPsport A league“ celebrated its second consecutive victory thanks to the recovering footballers from Alytaus DFK “Dainava“. In the 18th round, the players from Alytus won away 2:0 (2:0) against their neighbors in the tournament table, Vilniaus “Riteriai“.

In the first half, both teams did not create many threatening episodes, but the guests were more accurate. In the 22nd minute, Artem Baftalovskis, who won the duel against the opponent, directed the ball into the goal from about 17 meters.

The goalkeeper Kajus Andraikėnas, who debuted in the “TOPsport A league“, capitulated once again. The 17-year-old had no chance in the 44th minute when Davoras Rakičius scored after a pass from Ernestas Stočkūnas.

After the break, the guests defended confidently; however, “Riteriai“ took the initiative in the middle of the second half. Jonas Usavičius, who appeared on the field after a substitution, forced Airidas Mickevičius to work; Matas Latvys, in a good position, failed to hit the target.

The Alytus team remains in the tenth place with 10 points, but their deficit against “Riteriai“ has decreased to 3 points.
