As artificial intelligence relentlessly pushes into everyday life, sports is not becoming an exception.
The first robot football tournament in China was held in Beijing, where the participants were remotely controlled by AI, not by humans.
The match certainly lacked no absurdities: AI-controlled robots constantly collided, shut down, and were even removed from the field by stretcher.
In the final tournament match, the Tsinghua "THU Robotics" team defeated the China Agricultural University "Mountain Sea" team 5:3.
