The Europa League quarter-final series between AS Roma and Bologna ended very dramatically.

Bologna defeated AS Roma 4-3 away and won the tie 5-4 on aggregate.

In the 22nd minute, Jonathan Rowe scored the first goal.

In the 32nd minute, AS Roma defender Evan Ndicka equalized.

Before halftime, the Bologna team took the lead again – Federico Bernardeschi scored from the penalty spot.

In the 58th minute, Santiago Castro doubled the guests' advantage.

However, Roma came back. In the 69th minute, Donyell Malen converted a penalty, and in the 80th minute, the home captain Lorenzo Pellegrini equalized.

During extra time, Nicolo Cambiaghi's goal settled the question of the winner – Bologna advances to the next stage.

Real Betis, Aston Villa, and Porto also progressed to the next round.
