Hegelmann from Kaunas County bounced back against Vilnius' Riteriai

Another match of the 13th round of the "TOPsport A League" took place in the capital, where the local team suffered a defeat against Kaunas district's "Hegelmann." Andrius Skerla's pupils equalized in a flood of goals and defeated Vilnius "Riteriai" with a score of 4:2 (2:2).

The first half began with effective attacks from the Vilnius team – in the 3rd minute, Meinardas Mikulėnas scored after a corner kick taken by Benjamin Mulahalilovičius, and just 11 minutes later, left unattended, Lazaras Sajčičius sent the ball into the upper corner of the goal from outside the penalty area.

In the 18th minute, the blue and whites started their onslaught. Domantas Antanavičius's long shot was saved by Vincentas Šarkauskas, but already in the 26th minute, a penalty was awarded for "Riteriai," which Lazaras Kojičius converted. Just a couple of minutes later, the score was equalized – Njoya Abdelas Kaderas scored with a header after a corner kick.

In the 43rd minute, B. Mulahalilovičius headed the ball, but this time Vincentas Šarkauskas was not beaten. In the 68th minute, "Hegelmann" attacked dangerously, and after a good pass, Niclas Hakansonnas sent the ball into his own net while trying to defend against Patrikas Popescu. The lead could have increased even further, but Klaudijus Upsto's kicked ball hit the goalpost.

The flood of goals continued – after a brilliant attack that sliced through the entire Vilnius defense, N. Kaderas scored a double from a pass by Leo Ribeiro.

"Hegelmann" remains among the leaders with 27 points, while "Riteriai" stays in 9th place in the standings with 10 points.
