Hegelmann celebrates silver medals

The last A League match supported by "TOPsport" was played by the teams "Hegelmann" and "Sūduva." The home team, playing more successfully in the second half, celebrated a victory with a score of 2:1 (0:0) and claimed silver medals.

In the first half, neither team was able to create many dangerous opportunities. At the start of the match, Klaudijus Upstas sent the ball over the goal, and later Donatas Kazlauskas checked Ignas Plūkas’ alertness. Among the Marijampolė players, Amdou Sabo and Franklin Tangiri responded with shots directed at the goal defended by Vincent Šarkauskas.

Immediately after the break, D. Kazlauskas had a good opportunity for a shot, but his strong strike went wide of the goal. Soon after, the Sūduva players came close to scoring – after Amaro Haidara's attempt, the ball hit Sidy Sanokho and rattled the crossbar.

In the 63rd minute, the first goal of the match fell – A. Haidara put "Sūduva" ahead with an accurate shot, and just 4 minutes later, Njoya Abdelas Kaderas restored the balance.

In the 72nd minute, the blue-whites made a strong step toward victory and silver medals – receiving the ball, N. A. Kaderas deceived the Marijampolė goalkeeper and directed the ball into the empty net.

The "Hegelmann" team finished the season in second place, while the Marijampolė team ended up fourth.
