Barcelona club head coach Hansi Flick commented on the situation regarding defender Ronald Araujo's return and a possible new signing in defense before the derby against Espanyol:

"R. Araujo will be the only person who decides when he will return and when he feels ready.

His teammates support the Uruguayan.”

"When I look at the defensive line, I believe we need another player in this position.
