Barcelona club head coach Hansi Flick did not hold back on praising defender Fermín López after the latter's hat-trick in the match against Olympiacos from Piraeus:

"F. López has a lot of potential. We have always wanted to keep him in our club.

He is an exceptional and dynamic player... he is a very important player for the Barça team.”

22-year-old Fermín López was actively linked with London’s Chelsea this summer.
