"Toulouse" striker Andre Pierre Gignac will soon become a member of "Marseille". This was officially confirmed by the president of the latter club, Jean-Claude Dassier. Although the negotiations stalled for a long time due to the transfer fee, an agreement was finally reached for a compensation of 16 million euros. The most prolific player of the 2008-2009 French championship last season was plagued by injuries, scoring only 11 goals. "Marseille" should also acquire "Nice" striker Loic Remy, but during a medical examination doctors found a heart defect, so the transfer may not take place.
