In the 13th round of the "TOPsport A League," another encounter took place. Recently struggling Gargždų "Banga" hosted goal-scoring guests from Panevėžys. Aivaras Emsis, who converted a penalty at the end of the match, gifted his team a point, and the teams parted ways in a draw 1:1 (0:1).

In the first 15 minutes, neither team managed to take the initiative. Pijus Srėbalius once burst into the penalty area and shot wide, while Lucaso de Vegos' attempt was blocked by the defenders from Gargždai.

In the 17th minute, receiving a pass from Elivelto, Pavle Radunović took a powerful shot on goal, which was only watched by goalkeeper Mantas Bertašius. The Serbian, who scored his sixth goal this season, put his team ahead.

Not long after, the ball rippled the net of the Panevėžys goal, but moments later the assistant referee's flag was raised. The goal was not counted, and the score remained unchanged.

In the first half, Gargždai's attacks often lacked both quicker ball movement and quality in passing. The closest to equalizing was P. Srėbalius, but the 22-year-old midfielder failed to hit the target.

In the second half, the goal scorer P. Radunović had to work hard on defense. The forward "absorbed" a strong shot from I. Venckaus.

From the 75th minute, the visitors played with a man down, as Justinas Januševičius, who represented "Banga" last year, received a second yellow card. The home team, having a numerical advantage, took advantage of it, and after Aivaras Emsis' accurately struck penalty, they fought for a point.

During the referee's added time, the "Banga" players, who salvaged a point, climbed one step above the former Vilnius "Žalgiris." The Panevėžys team, having to settle for a draw, now stands in fifth place with 18 points.
