Journalist David Ornstein reports that the 32-year-old Swiss player is close to moving to Sunderland.

It is stated that the player himself has already agreed on a contract with the Premier League newcomers and is pressuring Bayer to sell him as soon as possible.

However, Bayer's strategist Erik ten Hag, at least for now, is not inclined to say goodbye to the midfielder.
