On December 5, the draw for the 2026 World Cup will take place in Washington.

The illustrious ceremony is expected to be attended by U.S. President Donald Trump, to whom FIFA President Gianni Infantino is likely to be presenting a special award.

"The Athletic" reports that a new FIFA Peace Award established a few weeks ago surprised its members council.

No one from the council knew even what criteria the future laureate would have to meet.

When journalists asked FIFA head G. Infantino if this award would be presented to D. Trump, he mysteriously smiled and said, "You'll see."
