The head coach of the Italian national team, Gennaro Gattuso, commented on the situation of Liverpool club's winger Federico Chiesa with this national team ahead of the additional stage before the World Cup:

"You know everything very well. I called F. Chiesa before each international break.

The problem is not G. Gattuso or his coaching staff. It's his problem. Not ours. You know that very well."

28-year-old Federico Chiesa has been playing for the Italian national team since 2018 and has scored 7 goals in 51 matches.
