Friendly match: Lithuania – Georgia (live) © lff.lt

The Lithuanian national team will try once again to delight its fans.

On Sunday, Edgaras Jankauskas' squad will compete in Kaunas against the team from Georgia in a friendly match.

The Georgians arrived in Kaunas after a draw with the Israeli national team. In the match held on Thursday, they were leading 2-0 but couldn't hold on to the advantage, and the contest ended in a 2-2 draw.

"We saw that they are a very powerful team, but at the same time, I noticed that they are not invincible. Israel managed to equalize the score and had a chance to take the lead at the end of the match. We remember our games in Kaunas against Israel, where we also had periods when we held the ball, managed to outplay them, and created opportunities to score a goal.

Georgia is a strong national team with a phenomenal player known all over the world, and has a very technical and good team.

But we really don’t want to overestimate them, as we saw that this is a team that concedes goals and has weak points. We have to put in a lot of effort to expose their weak spots, but that already depends on us. I hope that tomorrow we will find a way to their goal,” said E. Jankauskas.

The match will start at 16:00, and it will be broadcast live on LRT "Plius” television (link).
