FIFA World Cup prepares to give more power to VAR

In the upcoming World Cup, football fans may witness even more unquestionable referee decisions.

According to "The Times," FIFA is considering giving more power to the VAR system.

If the changes are implemented, referees sitting by the monitors will be able to check whether the field referee made a mistake in awarding a corner kick.

Additionally, there would be more fairness in sending players off the field – with the help of VAR, it would be determined whether a player was mistakenly shown a second yellow card.

The World Football Championship will take place from June 11 to July 19 next year.
