FIFA assures that it has listened to the complaints of club football fans regarding the excessive frequency of international match breaks.

It has been reported that the global organization has decided to reduce the number of windows during which cross-border matches will be played.

Starting from the 2026-2027 season, national teams will gather in the fall not twice, but only once.

This means that national teams will play not two, but four matches.

The international match window is scheduled for September 21 – October 6, 2026.
