Fans who sought the resignation of Vilniaus "Žalgiris" director Vilma Venslovaitienė triumphed too early.

Just a couple of days ago, it was officially announced that in an extraordinary shareholders' meeting of the club, the director's resignation was confirmed and one of the team's founders, Mindaugas Kasperūnas, was appointed as the new director.

However, the announcement soon disappeared from the official team channels.

As reported by sportas.lt journalist Aurimas Budraitis, V. Venslovaitienė came up with a way to delay the entire process.

During the meeting, the lawyer representing her decided not to validate the necessary documents. Later, the woman ordered to remove the messages about the changes from the "Žalgiris" channels.
