Florentino Pérez has been actively communicating with the media for the second day in a row. This time, the "Real" president visited the "El Chiringuito" show with José Pedrerol.
During the conversation, the head of the royal club pointed out the reason for the current season's struggles.
"We blame the FIFA Club World Cup for everything," said the 79-year-old veteran. "We did not have adequate preparation for the season.
We played every 3 days continuously and had many injuries."
F. Pérez also tried not to blame himself for the appointment of Xabi Alonso.
"I certainly did not make a mistake by signing Xabi Alonso. It's just that everything coincided, there were many overlapping factors, and one of the reasons for Xabi's failure was the lack of a proper preseason," said the "Real" president.
