F. Baldassarra: it looks very much like Argentina here – a really good league

FK "Kauno Žalgiris" football players defeated the Vilnius "Žalgiris" team (3:0) last weekend, and on Saturday they are looking forward to another derby – this time against the Kaunas district "Hegelmann" team. Before the upcoming match, Argentine Franco Baldassarra shared his thoughts.

"We feel good, I think the derby is very interesting for the city and for the whole country. I am very happy for our team – tomorrow we will step onto the field only to win," said the midfielder.

Baldassarra also evaluated the strength of the TOP LEAGUE.

"It is very similar to Argentina here – it is a really good league, with many solid players. My teammates also represent the national team, so the level is good," the Argentine responded.

The player also shared his joy about returning to play on natural grass at the Darius and Girėnas Stadium and talked about his role and adaptation in Kaunas.

"I am definitely ready, I really enjoy playing football. I have no problems with my minutes – that’s football, and I have to be prepared and adapt in a new country, in a new city. But I am very happy to be in this club," emphasized Baldassarra.

Finally, the Argentine highlighted the main points before Saturday's match.

"As in the previous round, it will be very important to control the ball and press the opponents – the coaches emphasize this a lot. I really like this style of football, as we play like this in Argentina too. But tomorrow we have to think only about the victory," said Baldassarra.

The match between "Kauno Žalgiris" and "Hegelmann" will start on Saturday at 14:00 at the Darius and Girėnas Stadium.
