E. Maresca: "We were much better than Arsenal playing 11 against 11" © scanpix

On Sunday, a London derby took place in the English Premier League, where Chelsea and Arsenal drew 1:1 and shared points.

At this point, theoretically, Chelsea should be the happier team, having played with a man down since the 38th minute, yet despite that, they managed to score the first goal.

After the match, the "aristocrats" strategist Enzo Maresca did not dispute the red card shown to Moises Caicedo but was frustrated by the lack of uniform interpretation in the Premier League.

"It is difficult for us coaches to understand the treatment of certain episodes. I agree that Caicedo deserved a red card, but this season we have seen similar situations where those cards were not shown.

This is a clear red card, but why are they not always shown? Trevoh Chalobah took a hit to the face, but that episode was assessed differently," said E. Maresca.

The Chelsea strategist also stated that his team was better on the pitch until M. Caicedo's dismissal.

"We were much better than Arsenal playing 11 against 11. It was harder when we were a man down, but we handled the challenge just perfectly," added E. Maresca.
