The head coach of London's Chelsea club, Enzo Maresca, after the match against Bergamo's Atalanta, assured why Wesley Fofana was substituted in the 31st minute and revealed why Willian Estevao did not play:

"W. Fofana had problems with his eye. It was quite bad.

He had some difficulty seeing, but I hope the defender will be ready for Saturday's match."

"We brought Tosin Adarabioyo onto the pitch because we needed to substitute W. Fofana.

Of course, if there were more substitutions, there would have been an opportunity for W. Estevao and Andrey Santos to play and potentially change the game."
