E. Jankauskas: "Unfortunately, today was not the day" © lff.lt

The Lithuanian men's national team played another match on Sunday in the FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

At the Darius and Girėnas Stadium, Edgaras Jankauskas' team lost 0:2 (0:1) to the Polish team. The Lithuanian national team has one last qualifying match left in this cycle. On November 17, in Amsterdam, the Lithuanians will meet the Netherlands national team.

"It is important to highlight the men's bravery, their off-the-ball fight, and the intensity. Looking at the statistical data, this was one of the better matches this year. I believe that the second half was also evenly matched. Of course, we need to score goals, and the only thing we lacked was the finishing of productive attacks. For that, we need skill and for players to compete in high-level championships."

We don't have many players like that. This is the main problem.

However, I believe that we can score those goals. Unfortunately, today was not that day," said E. Jankauskas, according to the portal lrt.lt.
