"Man City" forward Erling Haaland is known not only for his goal-scoring instinct.
Experts have been noting an unexpected statistic for some time now – the Norwegian excels at avoiding offside traps (18 in 108 matches).
Speaking to Sky Sports, the sharpshooter revealed the reason for his success.
According to him, he often watches recordings of Englishman Jamie Vardy's games and pays attention not only to the goals but also to the athlete's movement on the pitch during the plays.
"I observe, for example, how to position oneself when competing with the opponent's center-back when our number 10 has the ball. Possibly the best example in the world is J. Vardy," E. Haaland said, noting his love for football. "That's just who I am – I enjoy watching football even all Sunday long. I always watch a lot of matches."
