The outsider Alytaus DFK "Dainava" added points to their tally in the "TOPsport" supported Lithuanian Football A League. In the 28th round, the team from Alytus did not lose for the first time this year against Telšiai "Džiugas" – 1:1.

In the first half, the home team "Džiugas" had more opportunities, but Volodymyras Krynskis, returning to the goal area after five months, played solidly. On the other side of the field, Nikolozas Čikovani tried his luck from afar – the debuting Danylo Riabenka in the Lithuanian Championship saved the attempt.

Having suffered a lot in defense, "Dainava" took advantage of a set-piece in the 76th minute. After a corner kick, Danielis Alemao headed the ball into the goal, with a decisive assist from Ernestas Stočkūnas.

However, a couple of minutes later, "Džiugas" restored the balance: Ronaldas Sobowale made a pass, which was stopped by Vilius Piliukaitis – the grateful rebound was sent into the net by Oleksandras Kurcevas. For the Ukrainian, this was his 9th goal of the season.
