Another match of the 17th round of the "TOPsport A league” took place in the capital of Samogitia, where Telšiai's "Džiugas” and Vilnius' "Riteriai” showed a tough competition. After eliminating a goal deficit and turning the score in their favor, the team from Telšiai defeated the guests from the capital with a score of 2:1 (0:1).

After playing less than 10 minutes, Benjaminas Mulahalilovičius took a shot from distance straight at Marių Paukštė. In the 17th minute, Vilius Piliukaitis shot from outside the penalty area, and Oleksandras Kurcevas had a good opportunity to send the rebounding ball into the goal, but he missed the ball, and already in the next attack, Simas Civilka responded with an attempt near the rectangle.

In the 35th minute, a goal fell into the home team's net – Milanas Rutkovskis found Rokas Stanulevičius, who, having plenty of space around him, took a shot into the far corner of the goal, thus putting his team ahead. At the end of the half, Deitonas Vinckus sent the ball into a dangerous area in the penalty box, but a deflection saved the Vilnius team.

After almost an hour, Dejanas Trajkovskis had a chance to stand out during a free kick; however, the ball flew from the outside of the net. In the 64th minute, the team from Telšiai restored the advantage – Davidas Martinas Anane sent the ball into the penalty area, and the tall O. Kurcevas directed it into the rectangle with his head.

"Džiugas” shifted the score in their favor in the 72nd minute when Artiomas Šankinas made a mistake near his own goal, and O. Kurcevas took advantage of it to score a goal and completed a brace. After substitution, Axelis Galita had a wonderful chance to restore the lead in the last minutes, but the Frenchman failed to send the ball into the goal with his head from very close range.

After the 17th round, "Džiugas” ranks fifth with 24 points, while "Riteriai” remains in 9th place in the league table with 13 points.
