"Kaunas Žalgiris” futsal team is preparing for the third match of the Futsal A League. This Saturday, October 11, at 14:00, the Žalgiris will meet their opponents from Naujoji Akmenė, the football players of "Akmenės kraštas,” at the Kaunas SM "Startas” arena.

The Kaunas team had a successful start to the Futsal A League season – in their first match, they fought for victory against Jonavos "Vikingai” with a score of 5:2, and in their second match of the season, they defeated the football players of Vilkaviškis "Bruklinas” – 2:1.

"The start of the season is really good for us; we have fought hard for victories against strong opponents. Our goal is to finish the first stage of the league in first place and improve our game with each match. For me, as a coach, it is important that my team remains focused in all duels and improves its execution each time,” shared the head coach of "Kaunas Žalgiris,” Dentinho.

This weekend, the green and whites will welcome the "Akmenės kraštas” team to their home ground. The "Kaunas Žalgiris” has already faced these opponents in the LFF Futsal Supercup semifinals. The regular time of this match ended in a draw – 4:4, but during the penalty shootout, the Kaunas team secured victory with a score of 3:2.

The team’s coach mentioned that "Akmenės kraštas” has maintained a high level of competitiveness since last season and becomes stronger with each match.

"This Saturday, we are looking forward to another great match. "Akmenės kraštas” started this season strongly, and we have already met them in the Supercup match, where we had a serious battle. This team shows good play and prepares dangerous counterattacks. I believe that if we play at our best level, we can secure another victory,” stated Dentinho.

On October 11, the Žalgiris will be awaiting the support of their fans at the Kaunas SM "Startas” arena. The match will start at 14:00, and entry to the game will be free.
