D. Payet announced the end of his career

In 2016, European football championship star Dimitri Payet hung up his football boots.

This decision was communicated by the 38-year-old Frenchman on Sunday evening.

During his career, D. Payet represented Saint-Etienne, Lille, West Ham, and Marseille clubs, and spent the last three seasons in Brazil, playing for Vasco de Gama.

Throughout his career, the attacking midfielder scored 150 goals, including several beautiful free kicks.

One of D. Payet's most memorable tournaments with France was in 2016 when he was one of the leading players in the European football championship held in his home country.
