D. Hopkinson: "We are disappointed with the loss to the Sunderland team"

“Newcastle United“ club's general director David Hopkinson commented on the painful defeat to the Sunderland team and head coach Eddie Howe's future:

“I do not have a strong opinion on E. Howe's future. I can say that the loss in the derby was painful.

We took it seriously. There are no people among us who think: it was just one game. This confrontation resonated.

Recently, I had lunch with Eddie Howe for a couple of hours, and we discussed many things, including this loss.“

“E. Howe is our coach. I hope that at the end of the season we will have a good spell and we will talk about his future when the time comes.“

Eddie Howe has been coaching Newcastle United since November 2021.
