
A tragedy has shaken Cypriot football.
It has been reported that on Friday, the president of the "Karmiotissa" club, Stavros Demosthenous, was shot outside his home.
The 49-year-old's team is competing in the second-highest league in the country, where they currently hold fourth place.
Established in 1979, the "Karmiotissa" team fought in the country's top league just last year.
