On the day of the 615th anniversary of the Battle of Žalgiris, "Žalgiris" will enter an important battle in Malta. The Lithuanian champions will try to seize the stronghold of the Maltese champions "Hamrun Spartans" on Tuesday evening and continue their journey in the Champions League qualifiers.

"There was rain in Vilnius, a faster ball. The surface in Malta looks to be of good quality as well. I hope it will be treated before the match and the conditions will be similar. The matches themselves are never the same. We have our plans, ideas. We take into account the previous match, the strengths of the opponents, our own strengths," said coach Vladimir Cheburin about the possible differences before the clash.

The Vilnius team won the first match at home with a score of 2:0 and will need to defend this lead away.

The match between "Hamrun Spartans" and "Žalgiris" will take place on July 15 at 20:00 Lithuanian time.
