Cristiano Ronaldo once again found himself in the spotlight.

The legendary forward left the Portugal national team's training camp in Denmark after the national team coach Jorge Jesus's public statement and direct meeting with the Portuguese football federation.

On social media, the forward released a statement explaining his position to fans and the media.

"After the national team coach's press conference and a conversation with the president of the Portuguese Football Federation, I decided to leave the national team's training camp.

When the time is right, I will tell all Portuguese people the truth about the reasons that led me to leave the national team, to which I have always been dedicated,” he wrote.

"Now is the time to wish Portugal and all my teammates success,” C. Ronaldo stated.
