Cristiano Ronaldo has acquired a stake in the Spanish second division club "Almeria".
Journalist Fabrizio Romano reports that the Portuguese football star will now own 25 percent of the club.
The majority of the club's shares are held by a Saudi Arabian investment fund.
"I have long dreamed of contributing to football not just with my play on the field."
"Almeria" is a great club with ambitious plans. I am ready to contribute to the club's growth," commented C. Ronaldo on this new phase of his life.
In the second division of Spanish football, "Almeria" is currently in third place.
