Liverpool's Chelsea forward Cole Palmer respects the Portuguese Cristiano Ronaldo, but believes that in this era, the CR7 nickname has been surpassed by at least three players in his position.

According to the Englishman, they are Lionel Messi, Neymar, and Wayne Rooney.

The latter player holds a special place in C. Palmer's career journey.

"As a child, I supported Manchester United and W. Rooney was probably the best player on the team at that time," said Cole, who was then honing his skills at the Manchester City academy.
