Blow to Vinicius – 'Real' halts negotiations for a new contract

On the football field, the Madrid "Real" forward Vinicius received bad news.

As journalist Jorge C. Picon reports, the "La Liga" team has decided to cease negotiations with the player regarding a new contract.

The Brazilian, underestimating his not-so-successful last season, continues to demand an annual salary of 30 million euros.

"Real" had already warned the footballer that they are not planning to pay him a higher salary than Kylian Mbappe.

Vinicius failed to shine in the recently concluded Club World Cup tournament in the USA, where he scored only 1 goal in 6 matches.

The player's current contract with the Spaniards is valid until the summer of 2027.
