After the season ends, the Bilbao Athletic club will be shaken up by changes.

The La Liga team will have to look for a new coach, as the current team's manager Ernesto Valverde announced plans to step down from his position.

This decision has been brewing for a long time, and the club was aware of my intentions.

I will lead Bilbao for at least ten matches, most of which we will have to win, Valverde explained.

The 62-year-old specialist successfully directed the team, winning the Copa del Rey trophy with them in the 2023-2024 season.

Last year, he managed to secure a spot for the team in the Champions League tournament.
