"TOPsport A lygoje" climbed to the top half of the tournament table after achieving their second consecutive victory, beating Gargždų "Banga" 1:0 at home in the 19th round match.

In the first half, "Žalgiris" controlled the ball for longer, but creating chances was difficult. For their part, "Banga" forced Carlos Olsesas to work once and defended against several threatening passes.

The hosts surged ahead during the last attack of the first half. In added time, Martynas Šetkus made a pass into the penalty area, where center-back Luka Dumančičius accurately headed the ball into the goal.

After the break, "Banga" had a dangerous long-range attempt from Vaido Magdušauskas, and the situation worsened for the guests in the 67th minute when Jorisas Moutachy received his second yellow card. Shortly after that, Maksimas Andrejevas, who was brought on in the second half, made a dangerous shot, but C. Olsesas saved the day for "Žalgiris."
