Bayern Munich fans are outraged by FIFA's decision to appoint a controversial referee for the World Club Cup quarterfinal match against PSG.
During last year's European Championship, the German national team suffered badly from a blunder made by Anthony Taylor - a missed penalty awarded to the Spanish national team.
In the quarterfinal match, with the score at 1:1, the ball hit the hand of former Spanish player Marco Cucurella in the penalty area, but the referee remained unyielding even after a VAR review.
The Spaniards scored a decisive goal during extra time and eliminated the tournament hosts with a score of 2:1. Later, UEFA acknowledged a gross mistake by A. Taylor.
Now Bayern fans on social media claim that the referee's possible dislike for Germans and incompetence could lead to their favorites' exit from the prestigious tournament.
The match between Munich and Paris teams will start at 19:00.
