After long negotiations, the Catalans managed to convince UEFA to use a rarely applied rule exception.

The "La Liga" team had to choose a single venue for upcoming European season matches by the end of August.

The prolonged reconstruction of the "Camp Nou" arena posed a serious threat of having to play Champions League matches again at the Olympic stadium.

However, UEFA decided to apply the exception, and now "Barca" will be able to choose one venue based on the situation at the beginning of the season and then change it later.

The concession for the Catalans will last until February of next year.
