"Barcelona" has relinquished its position at the top of the "La Liga" standings after a long time.

In an away game, the Catalans lost 1:2 to the players of "Girona."

No goals were scored in the first half. Lamine Yamalis had the opportunity to score from the penalty spot, but was unable to do so.

In the 59th minute, the first goal was scored by the visiting defender Pau Cubarsi.

Immediately, in the 61st minute, Thomas Lemar responded, taking advantage of a hole in the Catalan defense.

In the 86th minute, Fran Beltran secured the victory for the "Girona" team.

In added time, the home team's forward Joel Roca received a red card for a rough foul. However, there was too little time left for "Barcelona" to take advantage of the one-player advantage against their opponents.

"Real" leads by two points ahead of "Barcelona" in the Spanish championship after this round.
